Rogers Will Notify Share Everything Customers of Data Overages With SMS Notifications

 

Unexpected data overage can drive bill shock and a poor customer experience. Right-sizing your plan to a Share Everything Plan can better fit your needs and can improve your overall experience with the addition of “Roam Like Home” and the new SMS notification for data overages.

As of December 22nd 2014, a program launched that sends Rogers Share Everything customers SMS notifications to help manage their data and avoid unexpected overage charges.

When Will Rogers Notify Me Of Data Overages?

This program is currently only for Share Everything customers. Share Everything Plan customers will receive a notification via SMS (text message) when they reach 75% of their data bucket, 100% of their data bucket, at $30 data overage, and $90 overage. Please note that the SMS notification will only be sent to the primary line on the Share Everything account, but the usage includes all lines on the Share Everything plan.

Note:

The SMS notifications will not be sent during bill cycles in which the following activities occur:

· New activations
· Price plan change (mid-cycle)
· Transfer of Responsibility

What Will The Data Overages Message Look Like?

· 75%: Hello. We’re happy you are enjoying staying connected on the go. We want to let you know that you have hit 75% of your data allowance since MMM DD YYYY. Your plan will reset on MMM DD YYYY. Thank you for choosing Rogers.

· 100%: Hello. We’re happy you are enjoying staying connected on the go. We want to let you know that you have hit 100% of your data allowance since MMM DD YYYY. Your plan will reset on MMM DD YYYY. Thank you for choosing Rogers.

· $30: We want you to continue to stay connected! However, you’ve incurred $30 in overage charges as of MMM DD YYYY. With this in mind, you may want to switch to a plan that better suits your usage needs. Give us a call @ 18004569932 and we can help with one of our great plans! Your plan will reset on MMM DD YYYY. Thanks again for choosing Rogers.

· $90: We want you to continue to stay connected! However, you’ve incurred $90 in overage charges as of MMM DD YYYY. With this in mind, you may want to switch to a plan that better suits your usage needs. Give us a call @ 18004569932 and we can help with one of our great plans! Your plan will reset on MMM DD YYYY. Thanks again for choosing Rogers.

These messages serve as a reminder to customers to monitor their data usage and/or to move to a more appropriate plan for their needs.

How Else Can I Monitor My Usage?

In addition to the SMS notifications, customers can continue to monitor their usage via their MyAccount app. The MyAccount app can be downloaded in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, BlackBerry World and Windows Phone Store.
